State the SI units of voltage, current, resistances and power etc.
Calculate unknown V, I and R in series-parallel networks.
Recognize common electrical circuit diagram symbols.
Appreciate what an ammeter, a multimeter and an oscilloscope measure.
State Ohm’s law as V =IR or I = V/R or R= V/I.
Use Ohm’s law in calculations, including multiples & sub-multiples of units.
Describe a conductor and an insulator, giving examples of each.
Appreciate that electrical power P is given by P =VI =I2R= V2 R watts.
Explain the importance of fuses in electrical circuits etc.
