DIAGNOSTICS CUP 2024 – Educational Sector
On December 2, 2024, the Rana Motors Building, Block C, hosted the second edition of the West African Vehicle Academy (WAVA) Diagnostics Cup, bringing together participants from the Ghana Armed Forces Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Sector, Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG), Government Technical Training Centre (GTTC), Accra Technical University (ATU), Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), and ATI/STEM.
The six-hour competition comprised a knowledge-based assessment and a practical diagnostics session, each lasting three hours. At the end of the event, Stanley Azah-Derry from the Ghana Armed Forces Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Sector emerged as the overall winner. Evans Osipli from GTTC secured second place, followed by Micheal Defeamekpor of ATTC in third position. Abdul Rafiu Bamba from ATU placed fourth, with Stephen Kojo Gyeme from ATI/STEM finishing fifth.
The event highlighted strong technical competence, analytical skill, and professionalism across participating institutions.
